In this DVD, Crittenden, presents a series of innovative goalkeeper training exercises that utilize mannequins and other obstacles to help push standard exercises into the realm of critical thinking. Multi balls and manipulating distractions help to simulate scenarios found in a match and are just a couple of the instruments on display for you to watch.
Above all else, Crittenden works to impart a philosophy that higher level thinking and decision making is a skill to be trained just as any other, and that you cannot hope to improve without a consistent approach and methodology.
University of Nebraska Goalkeeper Coach, Wally Crittenden, believes that one of the most underserved areas related to goalkeeper training is the failure to incorporate critical thinking into the standard curriculum of goalkeeper exercises.
Crittenden's philosophy works to create an environment that is challenging and stimulating and allows goalkeepers to solve numerous scenarios in a multitude of ways.
Wally Crittenden is the goalkeeper coach at the University of Nebraska and has built one of the deepest goalkeeping corps in the Big XII. Wally has a history of developing some of the brightest goalkeepers in the country, many of whom have gone on to represent their respective national youth teams. As a player, Wally competed with United States U-20 National Team, was a U-18 ODP All-American, and a 4 year letter winner at Florida International University.
