Scoring goals isn't just the result of conducting various types of shooting and finishing practices. These types of sessions are of a technical nature and will simply improve and hone various shooting and finishing techniques. What is often overlooked by coaches is the actual process of putting their team into goalscoring situations. This requires a more tactical approach to training sessions.
The movement of the players and the tactics involved in the build-up in order to create goalscoring chances cannot be overlooked. In this DVD, Coach John Walker, demonstrates and discusses various tactical ideas and exercises that will enable your team to create more goalscoring chances during your upcoming season.
John Walker has been the Head Coach at the University of Nebraska for 15 years and in that time he has developed the program into a perennial National Championship contender. His teams have made the NCAA Tournament 10 times with eight 'Sweet Sixteen' appearances. At one point, the Huskers finished in the top 15 in the nation seven straight times. Walker has also helped Husker players compete at the international level. Over the past several seasons, the Huskers have placed 21 players on the national team as well as seven players on WUSA rosters. Walker is also a staff coach for the Canadian Football Association.
